The New York City Board of Elections has a small number of open temp positions for election day poll workers. Additional positions are open for interpreters of Spanish, Haitian Kreyol, Korean, or Chinese. YOU MUST ACT FAST! ELECTION DAY IS TUESDAY NOVEMBER 6TH.
You must be 18 years or older, a registered voter in a ballot-listed political party, willing to work in your borough/county, able to take a one-day training session and pass the training exam. You must do the training, pass the exam, AND work the long election day (6AM – 9PM) in order to be paid approximately $100 for training and $200 for election day.
If you’re tight with an elected official or a party district leader, you may have a hook up. Or, follow this link to access the online jobs site for the elections board. Call the board to get the locations where the training sessions take place.
Make sure to confirm the pay scale and when payments will be available.
